According to this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! that popped up on Autosport, Toyota is going to be testing an AWD GT86 WRC mule that has nothing in common with either the Yaris WRC or the R3 GT86 already built. Apparently the car is being built by Tommi Makkinen Racing and has the approval of Toyota boss Akio Toyoda. This is so exciting! I can't wait to see what a GT86 looks like in WRC form! What do you guys think?

seems easy enough to do, plop in the forester XT drivetrain, add money...done.
its going have a lot more front weight though, there is no getting around the way that "symmetrical AWD" requires the front half shafts to be behind the bell housing...unless they want to throw even more money at it.

I don't think so. I mean maybe as a showcar which would be super cool, but the Yaris WRC needs all the resources and it's already surprisingly fast.

Hmm. Interesting. Cooling relations between TMG and Toyota Japan? Sounds strange...

If you want to go rallying a name like Tommi Makkinen is the ideal start.
